J.D. Edwards System Administration Accelerated *
* This course is an acceleration of the following two courses: CNC Foundation 8.94 and System Administration 8.96. Also is applicable for customers on Tools releases 8.93, 8.94, 8.95 and 8.97
This course is a blend where participants will learn the architecture of Configurable Network Computing (CNC) and also administration of a distributed CNC configuration. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to describe the components involved in CNC and how they work in CNC Environment Architecture. They will also be able to perform routine system maintenance duties without hiccups.
This course introduces the components in Configurable Network Computing Architecture. Participants will learn how to set up the environments, path codes, data sources, and Object Configuration Manager (OCM). There is an integrated case study though which they understand how all the components in CNC coexist and work together. Participants will also gain an understanding of the communication integration.
This course also provides the participants with the skill set required to successfully administer a distributed CNC configuration. Participants will learn how to configure and administer user security, data dictionary, and server administration.
Students will learn how to manage JD Edwards EnterpriseOne objects using Object Manager Workbench, Object Configuration Manager, and the Universal Table Browser. Student will learn how to manage data using User Defined Codes, Data Dictionary, Vocabulary Overrides, and Versions. Printing management will be discussed including the Work With Server application and the Scheduler application. The SAW application and its components will be discussed, along with other topics, such as JDENET and LDAP
